Agatha Cosmas Panga

Agatha Cosmas Panga brings over 12 years of extensive experience spanning both private and public sectors, making her an invaluable addition to FSDT as the Head of Finance & Operations. Her diverse expertise in finance, audit, and operations equips her to lead FSDT’s strategic financial oversight and operational excellence.

Agatha’s career began at KPMG, where she steadily advanced from Audit Associate to Senior Audit Manager. In her leadership roles, she was responsible for overseeing risk assessments, audit planning, and ensuring regulatory compliance across a broad portfolio of clients. Agatha’s impact at KPMG extended beyond technical audits, as she played a key role in business development and spearheaded people management initiatives. Notably, she served as the Country’s Champion for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, reflecting her broad influence and commitment to sustainable business practices.

Known for her leadership and teamwork, Agatha excels in fostering collaboration and mentoring teams, always bringing an inclusive and innovative approach to her work. Her fluency in both English and Swahili, coupled with her culturally diverse background, makes her an influential leader who can bridge gaps and drive results in a variety of contexts.

Agatha holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the Eastern & Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI), alongside various prestigious qualifications, including being a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She also holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Mzumbe University, Tanzania.

Her memberships and continuous professional development reflect her dedication to staying at the forefront of her field. Agatha is a member of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) and has completed leadership trainings while at KPMG through the East Africa and Africa Leadership Development programmes.

With her expertise, leadership, and passion for innovation, Agatha Panga is set to play a pivotal role in advancing FSDT’s mission to enhance financial inclusion in Tanzania.
