Derick Kiwia
Climate, Finance and Resilience Manager
Derick Kiwia joins FSDT as the Climate Finance and Resilience Manager, bringing extensive experience as a management and strategy consultant in the international development space. Over the past four years, he worked with Dalberg Advisors, supporting private companies, public institutions, international development organizations, and government agencies.
He has a wealth of international experience, having contributed to development projects across Africa. His work has driven impactful interventions in financial inclusion, investments, climate action, and agriculture. As Dalberg Tanzania’s Climate Champion, he also contributed to internal knowledge-building on climate change and led public awareness initiatives.
He holds an MSc in Data Science from the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. He is deeply passionate about climate action, technological innovation, and youth development and is dedicated to driving transformative change in these areas.
